Donations in cash AND in-kind support ensures SWAN’s vital work for children and families can continue. If you have spare time and would like to give back to the community, you can volunteer at one of our events, help out with administration behind the scenes, or contribute in your area of expertise. If you have skills in IT, law, finance, event management or just want to lend a hand, we would like to hear from you.

What is a (Volunteer) Peer Support Leader?
A Peer Support Leader is based on the relationship between people who have lived experience in common, where a peer support facilitator provides emotional and social support to others.
Our pilot program in Victoria has been a massive success, providing peer support opportunities for many Victorian families throughout the last 12 months and we are keen to expand this program all over Australia!
The benefits include limiting isolation, supporting others in similar situations, sharing knowledge and building capacity in others.
If you are interested in helping others, just like you, SWAN offers an Online Peer Support Leaders Training Program. If this interests you, please read the program outline here. Please note expressions of interest will close 13 August 2023.
