Grief is a normal part of life

In August 2022, Libby Roden – counsellor, family support practitioner and family therapist from Very Special Kids hosted our Meet the Expert session on grief, loss and bereavement. Here are some of the key takeaways from the session:

  • Grief is an individual and normal process
  • Loss of support networks and routines can be difficult
  • Grief is not linear – there are ups and downs and it can be messy
  • There are different domains of grief
  • If you are grieving, do what feels right for you
  • Triggers will come and go

Libby has provided a resource on grieving self-care. A recording of Libby’s session will be available soon.
