Puberty can be a trying and apprehensive time for all children. Regardless of a child’s developmental delay, their body will mostly develop at the same rate as neurotypical children. There is still the need to provide support, even before signs of puberty appear. SWAN has put together a number of resources that you may find helpful.
Some members have been able to use NDIS funds for support to manage puberty.
